"This is a beautiful album. Paolo Fresu has absorbed the best of Miles and made it his own. Imagine 'Porgy & Bess' a la Miles but recorded not with Gil Evans in the 50's but with Miles lineup circa 'Star People' with added Arabic/North African influence. The result is magnificent slow paced reinterpretations of some well known music. Fresu manages to absorb the best of Miles but remain himself. Highly recommended."
