I have always been fascinated by human society’s relationship to time, how it impacts our perception of the world, and how artists of all sorts strive to create a “bubble”. This somehow fixes time in place in the music, story, film, painting etc, but also the time flows naturally within it. The art creates a reflection of time passing within it and outside it. Remembering the past is like dreaming, at once unreal and yet vivid and with a profound effect on the present. I wanted this album to encapsulate this so that each composition has a clear emotional substance but also a sense of lightness and brevity, much like the surreal nature of a memory.
