The Peanut Vendors was actually an all-star latin band with the best nuyorican musicians of the genre. It featured Eddie Costa on vibes and organ, Charlie Palmieri on piano, Johnny Pacheco on flute, Jimmy Santiago (Luis Del Campo's band), better known as "La Vaca", on timbales, Luis Barreiro on bass, Don Laond (Woody Herman's band) and the cream off the top of the percussion with José Mangual (Machito's Afro-Cubans) and Al Epstein also known for his tenor and baritone saxophone.
