The story of this trio began in the fall of 1959 when Jon Mayer, Chuck Israels and Arnie Wise were engaged to perform in Madrid and in Barcelona. This trio of young musicians introduced new concepts of modern jazz in Spain and they are still remembered warmly there to this day. Many years have passed since then and today all three members of the trio are renowned musicians and have earned a place in jazz history. Now Fresh Sound Records has reunited the trio for this unique CD which comes forty-five years after they first came together.
