An original homage to the giant figure of Bill Evans and some of his most rendered compositions. Arranged by pianist Joan Diaz with the vocal contribution of the promising singing talent of Silvia Perez, this set features eight of Evans' originals, plus Perez own "Letter to Lola". Diaz has grown as a soloist through the years, and the harmonically sophisticated and often complex music inspires him to consistently satisfying improvisations. This easily recommended concept album works quite well, putting the focus on Diaz-Perez continued interaction as a soloists and on the acclaimed compositional talents of Bill Evans.
