Little could Maurice Ravel expect that his "Pavana for a deceased infant" would be transformed, by magic, into an Afro-Cuban guajira with a vital rhythm. The culprit is Ramon Escalé and his impeccable The Jamboree Big Latin Band. "The most Cuban orchestra on this side of the Atlantic", in the words of the expert Luc Delannoy, who premieres an album with a review of danzones, guarachas and other pieces by great masters of Caribbean music. The essential "Pavana Club".
