In this third album, we propose a listening experience, like the soundtrack of a film. When the image limits, compresses, explodes, and enslaves, Fricciones evokes its other face: imagination.
It is about suspending that normalizing gaze; about a peaceful immersion into the waters of uncertainty. What is friction? A force that arises from the contact between imperfect bodies. A force that affects us for better or for worse. Sometimes, even in both ways at the same time.
We live in friction with our surroundings and our perspectives; with words and language, with thought and emotions; with desire and guilt; with pleasure and enjoyment; with action and disengagement. Friction can delight or unsettle us; evoke a memory or project us into the unknown. That is what we are made of. What is the present if not a state of permanent friction between our past and our future? What is life if not an act of resistance, rubbing against death?
We live in constant friction. That is why this handful of songs invites us to pause time. That is why this album exists: Fricciones.
