A Hot Dance Orchestra in a Fletcher Henderson Era Tribute
The Fu Manchu Jazz Servants is a real Jazz Hot orchestra. The music they play is a link between the New Orleans jazz polyphonies and the more advanced big band arrangements of the Swing Era.
Recorded in 2005 "Shanghai Shuffle", is The Fu Manchu Jazz Servants' first and only recorded work till the date, a sincere homage to the most legendary band of the Pre-Swing period, the one conducted by the unique pianist-arranger Fletcher Henderson. Authentic Jazz Hot played with the same quality, joy and passion than the original big band sounds of the happy 20s and early 30s.
