This release presents the original classic album "Cannonballs Sharpshooters" in its entirety, plus two extra tracks that complete the sessions and were not included on the LP.
As a bonus, this CD also contains all of the tunes from Machitos album "Kenya" which features Cannonball Adderley, along with Doc Cheatham, Joe Newman, and Eddie Bert.

"Excellent bebop comes from the great altoist Cannonball Adderley and his original quintet (which co-starred cornetist Nat Adderley and pianist Junior Mance). Strange that this group was on the verge of breaking up for their renditions of such standards as "Our Delight," "Straight No Chaser," "If I Love Again" and "I'll Remember April" are often quite exciting."
