"This is the second volume of Ada Falcón from El Bandoneón. These recordings are of course all made with Francisco Canaro, for whom she bore a passion that eventually drove her to retire entirely from public life.
Particularly interesting are versions of Corazón de Oro, Ventarrón and La Morocha, contemporary with better known Canaro recordings that we dance to frequently, but this time arranged to highlight the singer. There's also a marvellously ridiculous pasodoble, El Cantar de Los Gitanos, which sounds as though it has come straight from the set of some preposterous '30s Hollywood epic - for all we know, it may well have done so! An excellent disc, but not for dancing."
