Spanish singer and songwriter Pepa Niebla is known for her vocal versatility, which has allowed her to participate in a wide variety of projects from blues, soul and jazz to Cuban sound and popular music. His life experiences in Granada, Havana, London and Brussels have given her the opportunity to grow, learn and experiment in different genres. Now established in Belgium, Niebla has found her sound and direction as an artist, bringing her own compositions and arrangements to life with her new project.

"Renaissance" was released in 2020, Niebla's first album of original compositions (following her previous works as Pepa Niebla Project and Pepa Niebla & Ricky Vivar), with guitarist Toni Mora, pianist Maxime Moyaerts, bassist Alex Gilson and award-winning drummer Daniel Jonkers. "Renaissance" presents five new original compositions by Niebla as well as a composition by Brazilian pianist Fabio Torres with lyrics in English, Spanish and Portuguese, demonstrating a unique style that marks the beginning of a new chapter in Niebla's career.

The music of the Renaissance reflects an influence of contemporary New York jazz that Pepa has combined with stories of love, family and immigration to create a sincere and personal work. Niebla's creation is fresh and original, reflected in its harmonies, singing and composition. She is influenced by singers Dianne Reeves, Lizz Wright, Nancy Wilson, Carmen McRae, Gretchen Parlato and Esperanza Spalding, as well as songwriters Benny Golson, Bill Evans, Wayne Shorter, and Pat Metheny.

Pepa Niebla obtained distinction both in her higher education and in the jazz master's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under the direction of David Linx, Christophe Wallemme, Stéphane Galland, Michel Bisceglia, Bart Quartier, among others, in addition to having attended master classes with international musicians such as Norma Winstone, Pete Churchill, Wynton Marsalis and John Clayton.

Niebla performs regularly in Brussels jazz venues such as the Sounds Jazz Club, the Music Village and the Jazz Marathon. She can also be heard alongside her contemporaries Bart Quartier (vibraphone), Alex Koo (piano), Marcos Varela (bass), Martin Salemi (piano) and the Toni Mora Quartet.
