His style is characterized by his deep sound, the magnetism of his groove and his creative versatility, combining with mastery tradition and innovation, as well as being a brilliant soloist.

He studied with Ferran Sala, Álvaro Is, Ludwig Streicher and Ron Carter (City College of New York). He was a member of the classical music ensembles World Orchestra 1982, Orquestra Ciutat de Barcelona (1983-1984) and Orquestra de Cambra del Teatre Lliure (1987-1992).

He has played and recorded with jazz giants such as Brad Mehldau, Jimmy Cobb, Tete Montoliu, Johnny Griffin, Wynton Marsalis, Paquito d'Rivera, Bebo Valdés, Larry Willis, Chris Cheek, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Mark Turner, Jeff Ballard, Horacio "El Negro", Sheila Jordan, Jordi Bonell, Perico Sambeat, Lluís Vidal, and many others. Also with Flamenco artists such as Gerardo Núñez, Niño Josele, Josemi Carmona, and member of the sextet and trio of Chano Domínguez (2004-2012).

He has given concerts and tours around the world at major clubs and theaters such as Jazz Standard NY, Lincoln Center NY, Smalls, Village Gate, Blue Note Tokyo, Ronnie Scott's London, Mariinsky Theater St. Petersburg, Teatro Real Madrid, Palacio Bellas Artes de México, Radio ORF Vienna, and international festivals such as Terrassa, North Sea Jazz Festival, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Red Sea Israel, Istanbul, Reunion Island, Bogotá, Caracas, Costa Rica, Barcelona, ​​Vitoria, Donostia, Wien, Marciac, Toulouse, Nice and others.
