Born in Esplugues de Llobregat, Barcelona. Marian already sang all the time when she was very little and so strong was her love for her music that he could not separate himself from her. In her career, she has played with hundreds of groups, done thousands of concerts, participated in musicals, different recordings and projects especially related to jazz, blues, funk, gospel, soul, and pop, although she is interested to all kinds of music.

She began to sing professionally with the pianist Lucki Guri in 1998, performing at jazz venues and festivals, and being part of the group of artists who performed on the program “En directe Mari Pau”. In those years he co-led different projects such as Justerini & Blues (blues), Luna Negra (a cappella), Club D Funks (funk-rock), his own jazz quartet with the pianist Gerard Nieto, as well as Mujeres, a group of Pop-Rock in which she shared the stage with Txell Sust, Mone Teruel and Susana Ribalta.

His collaboration with the pioneering jazz band in Catalonia, La Vella Dixieland, stands out, taking part in prestigious festivals such as Breda Jazz Festival (Holland), Salzburg Jazz Festival (Austria), Barcelona Jazz Festival, Terrassa Jazz Festival and Ourense Jazz Festival. They are joined by thousands of hours of concerts and various record collaborations such as “Swing On,” “25 anys, en directe a l'Espai” and “Cooking at Luz de Gas”.

A regular member of the Big Band Jazz Maresme, the Big Band Begues, Barcelona Jazz Orchestra, Big Band Jazz Granollers and the Cotton Club Big Band. She was also part of the group Groovaloo led by saxophonist Benoit Ponsoit, in which they brought jazz, soul, funk and Bogaloo.

She has recently collaborated on the records "Way" by Ivó Oller Trumpet Attitude, on "Viatjazz" by Roger Canals & Cia. Also with pianist Marc Ferrer and trumpeter Paul Evans, with whom she recorded the album "A Drop of Freedom.”

Some of the musicians or groups with whom she has been fortunate to collaborate in different projects are: Josep Maria Farràs, Benjamín León, Leroy Jones, William Galison, Albert Cubero, Nono Fernández, Frederic Wort, Gerard Nieto, Pinyo Martí, David Sam, Toni Solà, Dave Mitchell, Kike Angulo, Pep Rius, Jordi Berni, Víctor Correa, Tom Warburton, Caspar St. Charles, KC Octet, Swingset, Monica George, Guateque Jazz Project, Albero Brothers, Ivanow Jazz Group, Cava Hoppers and Pol Prats among many others.

She has also occasionally been part of other projects, such as Electric World & Funk, the tribute band to Earth Wind & Fire, and since 2005 singing in the Barcelona funk band Disco Inferno. For a long time he had a close musical relationship with the Barcelona disco band Funk “Fundación Tony Manero”, participating in the recording as a chorus of some of their albums.

She has been part of the live albums: “Live at Jamboree” by the Latin Soul band Los Fulanos, “Live” by Lucas Masciano, "Gradus ad Parnassum (Live at luz de Gas)" by pianist Frederic Wort and "Raval" tribute to Oscar Tugas. Other artists or groups with whom she has collaborated as a showgirl are The Smoking Stones, Moncho, Roser, Manu Carrasco, Chocadelia Internacional, Dany Binia and Andreu Martínez with whom in 2011 she created “Songs from Limbo”, as a vehicle to perform her own compositions.

She has also worked in the following musicals: "That's Jazz," under the musical direction of Bejamin Davies (1999-2000), "The Full Monty" with musical direction of Manolo Gas (2002), "Bagdad Cafe, The Musical" with musical direction of Bob Telson (2004-2006) and “Les Dones de Frank” (2017).

Her first contact with the pedagogical world was thanks to Mark Whithers' project for the CaixaForum, "Sing Handel's Messies to the rhythm of Blues", in which he participated in 2003 and 2004. Then came "T'encantarà" produced by Auditori de Barcelona, and since then she has been part of the Barcelona Blues Workshop School, l'Estudi d'Arts de Begues and currently teaches at El Musical de Bellaterra.
