Martin Diaz was born in 1995 in a small town from the sorroundings of Barcelona called Argentona. He began musical education in the local school of music and after a while, in the Conservatory Josep Maria Ruera in Granollers, specializing in Classic and Jazz Saxophones.

He got graduated in 2017 at the Conservatorio Superior del Liceu from Barcelona. During these years he received lessons from renowned names as Victor de Diego, Jon Robles, Gorka Benítez, along with masterclass by Chucho Valdés, Miguel Zenón, and Joe Lovano among others.

He's currently living in Amsterdam, studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in order to move along with his music education and develop his artistic career.

2020 saw the release of his first album as leader fronting a quintet, "Identities" for Fresh Sound New Talent.
