Massimo Pirone
Massimo Pirone plays trombone, bass trombone and tuba. After graduating from the conservatory he started his activities music playing in major television programs. In the studio recording from 1987 for almost every movie of Ennio Morricone he was part of the orchestra.
He collaborated with many other American jazz musicians such as Quincy Jones' music for MTV, Natalie Cole, Harold Jones, Alan Broadbent, Carlos Santana, Al Jarreau, Herbie Hancock, Carl Fontana, Kenny Wheeler, Donald Harrison, Slide Hampton, Steve Turre, Gary Bartz, George Garzone, Gary Smulyan, Martial Solal, Lee Konitz, Cassandra Wilson, Astrud Gilberto, Dionne Warwick, Al Grey, Bill Holman, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Bob Brookmeyer, Bill Reichenbach, the Los Angeles’ trombone choir, the Chuck Flores Big Band, Ben Van Dijk, and Bill Watrous with whom he recorded 2 CDs.
