Bruno Calvo
Bruno Calvo (1991) is a young trumpet player from Cádiz, Spain. Since he was born he found himself surrounded and influenced by a rich musical atmosphere because his father was trumpet player, too. He started playing at the age of 5 and with only 7 years he started to study the classical trumpet at the conservatory of his hometown until the age of eighteen. He also took additional private lessons and attended music workshops with Joe Magnarelli, Jerry Bergonzi, Dick Oatts or Bruce Barth.
Presenting excellent grades, he was accepted at the most important conservatory in Spain in 2009: The ESMUC in Barcelona (Escola Superior de Musica de Catalunya). Here he completed his Bachelor degree in jazz trumpet with musicians such as: Mireia Farres, Toni Belenguer, Matthew Simon, Albert Bover and Lluís Vidal.
In 2013 he moved to Amsterdam where he continued studying the Master degree in the CvA...
