Sergio Gruz
Born in Argentina, Sergio Gruz studied Jazz piano with Santiago Giacobbe and Edgardo Beilin, and Classical music with Suzana Bonora and Claudio Spector.
In 1992, during a tour in France with the "Sexteto Sur" and Adriana Varela, he was asked to play at the famous "Trottoir de Buenos Aires". One year later he moves to Paris and plays in many clubs ("Le Petit Journal Montparnasse", "Sunset", "Sunside", "Le Bilboquet", "7 Lézards", "Le Chabada", "New Morning", "Les Trinitaires", "Le Baisé Salé"...) and internationally renowned festivals (the Belgian Jazz Festival, the Leverkussen Jazz Festival in Germany, the Montreal Jazz Festival in Canada, the Santo Domingo Jazz Festival in Dominican Republic, the Tanjazz festival in Morocco, and the Ethno Jazz Festival of Chisinau in Moldava, among others.)
