Esaie Cid
Born in Barcelona, saxophonist and clarinetist Esaie Cid began his career with the Barcelona Jazz Orchestra, a big band directed by Oriol Bordas, with whom he recorded and toured with Jesse Davis and Frank Wess.
Arrived in France in 2002, he founded the group Jazzpel, a jazz quintet with gospel influences with three albums to his credit. Established in Paris since 2005, Esaie Cid invests the French Jazz scene by multiplying his collaborations as a sideman with many musicians (Mourad Benhammou, Fabien Mary, Michel Pastre, François Laudet, Gilles Rea, Jean Pierre Derouard, Hugo Lippi...)
By this time he was already fronting his own band having his recording debut "Maybe Next Year" for the Fresh Sound Records subsidiary label Swing Alley.
