Pere Navarro (Ibiza, 1994) began his love affair with the trumpet when he was only eight years old. He began his professional studies at Ibiza’s Professional Conservatory and continued his training at Taller de Musics in Barcelona. That’s where he recently graduated from his higher studies. He has played along bands such as Threejay Trio, Eva Fernández Group or the Original Jazz Orchestra (directed by David Pastor), amongst others. He has also played with musicians like Gabriel Amargant, Jorge Pardo or Joachim Kühn.

Palau de la Música Catalana, Jamboree, Nova Jazz Cava are just some of the stages where Pere Navarro has already played at, among other theaters and auditoriums around Catalonia. He has also been part of the line up at festivals such as Barcelona’s International Jazz Festival, ViJazz or Eivissa Jazz; where this year, in 2016, he celebrated his tenth time playing at the island’s festival. He did so as a member of the 'Eivissa Jazz Experience', led by Abe Rábade, who has collaborated on two tracks of Perenne. This album marks the debut of the quintet he leads under the Fresh Sound New Talent label.
