Born in La Tronche, in the Rhône-Alpes region, France, on December 23, 1975, the first archive concerning Christophe Panzani's musical activity places him at the Grenoble Jazz Festival. Since the start of his apprenticeship, this multi-instrumentalist has wanted to broaden his cultural and musical field of vision. He integrates groups of funk, Brazilian, African or jazz music which allow him to explore and learn all kinds of music.

He plays the tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone, bass clarinet and flute. It is found in many musical groups with various aesthetics: in jazz with Anne Paceo, Florian Pelissier; in World, Electro, Hip-hop with Electro Deluxe, Hocus Pocus, Milk Coffee & Sugar, and 20Syl.

Since 2002 he has played tenor saxophone in the Carla Bley Big Band, whose album 'Appearing Nightly' won the “2009 Jazz Journalist Association Award” as Album of the Year. In 2007, he founded his first group, the Pasta Project, in homage to his name and his Italian origins. In 2009, Christophe Panzani's Quintet produced a creation for the Gradus Ad Musicam Symphony Orchestra of Nancy. For the 2015-2016 season, the group is notified in residence at the Arsenal de Metz with the Voce Quartet and the Arte Combo quintet for a creation around 20th century French piano music. In 2008, he created the group The Drops with the Italian guitarist Federico Casagrande. They recorded their first album 'Falling from The Sky' in New York in September 2009, released in November 2010 (Hyena Records).

Their second album, 'Spray,' recorded during their tour in Italy and France, with Ferenc Nemeth on drums, was released in 2013 on their own label The Drops Music. It has received critical acclaim. Two years later, The Drops recorded 'Live in Paris at New Morning,' with Eric Legnini (Fender Rhodes) and 20Syl (beat maker, DJ) as “guests”.

Christophe Panzani's musical career took root in the United States, when in 2010, he received two Franco-American grants for the jazz projects of the Chamber Music America and of the Mid Atlantic Art Foundation with the double bassist. New Yorker Keith Witty. They founded the Thiefs group with Guillermo E. Brown. Their self-titled debut album 'Thiefs' was recorded in New York in March 2011. In 2015, the band brought in MC Gaël Faye, Edgar Sekloka, Mike Ladd as well as jazz pianist Aaron Parks, in a project for the BAM of Metz entitled UP-Rooted / Re-Rooted. That same year, he joined the RXRA Group, Eric Serra's jazz musical group. Panzani also joined the group The Watershed, with Tony Paeleman, Pierre Perchaud, Karl Jannuska. Their first album 'Inhale / Exhale' was released on January 22, 2016

Helped by Vincent Bessières crowdfunding venture label Jazz & People, Panzani has finished two albums as leader: 'Les Âmes Perdues' (2016) and 'Les Mauvais Tempéraments' (2019) with Yonathan Avishai, Leonardo Montana, Guillaume Poncelet, Eric Legnini, Tony Paeleman and Dan Tepfer. Along with the third of the Thiefs released works 'Graft [La Greffe]' (2018).
