Christophe Panzani
Born in La Tronche, in the Rhône-Alpes region, France, on December 23, 1975, the first archive concerning Christophe Panzani's musical activity places him at the Grenoble Jazz Festival. Since the start of his apprenticeship, this multi-instrumentalist has wanted to broaden his cultural and musical field of vision. He integrates groups of funk, Brazilian, African or jazz music which allow him to explore and learn all kinds of music.
He plays the tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone, bass clarinet and flute. It is found in many musical groups with various aesthetics: in jazz with Anne Paceo, Florian Pelissier; in World, Electro, Hip-hop with Electro Deluxe, Hocus Pocus, Milk Coffee & Sugar, and 20Syl.
Since 2002 he has played tenor saxophone in the Carla Bley Big Band, whose album 'Appearing Nightly' won the “2009 Jazz Journalist Association Award” as Album of the Year. In 2007, he...
