Nando Michelín
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Nando immigrated to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music where he is currently a professor in the Piano Department. His extensive discography includes more than 14 CDs for various labels as well as independent releases. His recordings features the likes of Esperanza Spalding, Jerry Bergonzi, Jeff Ballard, George Garzone, Richie Barshay, Antonio Serrano. He has performed in theaters and halls worldwide such as Wang Center, Kimmel Center for the Arts, Smithsonian, Jordan Hall, Teatro Opera (Bs As), Roy E. Disney Center for the Arts, etc.
As a producer, he was responsible for Katie Viqueira's “Amores torcidos” and “El otro lado” and Teresa Ines's “Ave Rara” for which he was Musical Director and occasional arranger.
