Jaume Llombart
Born in the city of Igualada, Jaume Llombart trained at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) with Maarten van der Grintten, Jose Luís Gámez and Dani Pérez. He lives in Barcelona since 2000, he has collaborated with the most relevant figures of national and international jazz, being defined by critics as a restless musician interested in exploring unusual languages through his compositions and arrangements in the world of avant-garde jazz.
Llombart leads groups such as his own Sextet (with Joe Smith, Pau Domènech, Marc Cuevas, Alfred Artigas and Miguel 'Pintxo' Villar), with whom he released his first album as leader, Live at Robadors 23 (2011).
